President's Message
Our 122nd Feast of St. Rocco, held last August, 2011 was as usual, thank God, a tremendous success! We had record crowds and a little afternoon drizzle, but nothing like the torrential downpour of 2010.
As I sat down to write this short message, so many thoughts about the day came to mind. However, one aspect essentially describes the day each year, faith. The many people who came to celebrate St. Rocco came with hopes and dreams and their gratitude. There were tears of joy and thanksgiving, very loud and meaningful shouts of VIVA SAN ROCCO!
It is this atmosphere of faith and love which characterize the day, both this year and every year.
Our 123rd Feast will be held Sunday, August 19, 2012. What an amazing blessing that we continue to celebrate
St. Rocco 123 years after the first Italian immigrants brought this feast to the Lower East Side of Manhattan.
Remember to call upon St. Rocco all year long; he will hear you, console you and help you.
Secondly, one of the best ways to honor St. Rocco is to bring someone with you to this year’s feast, Sunday, August 19, 2012. I encourage members and devotees of St. Rocco to begin to “spread the news” about the feast and “recruit” as many people as you can to join us on this special Day.

President's Message
Our 121st Feat of St. Rocco will certainly not be forgotten. After many, many years of beautiful weather, we finally got rain.
The thing I feared for so long happened, it rained on our parade.
Despite the dark skies and predictions for heavy rains, the Church was almost standing room only for Mass. As we prepared St. Rocco to leave the Church,
the sky grew darker and as we began our procession it began to rain, not drizzle, but POUR! Then something beautiful and miraculous happened.
My St. Rocco brothers carried St. Rocco with the same love, fierce devotion and pride that they always do. The devotees and members kept walking!
Some with umbrellas, others with rain gear and some with nothing to cover themselves at all! I asked if we should stop, I didn't want to coerce anyone to
continue, but EVERYONE said let's keep going, even the Police! The band came along too and within moments the rain stopped and we walked our entire procession route.
I will never forget that day, where I know St. Rocco was very, very pruod of his children.
As I sat down to write this short message, so many thoughts about the day came to mind. However, one aspect essentially describes the day, faith. The many people who came to celebrate

We have a few "surprises" in store; keppe checking out website for exciting news as we get closer to the feast.

President's Message
The 2009 feast was as always, remarkable. Apart from the obvious financial success, which was extraordinary and continues to enable us to make generous donations to the St.
Joseph's Church, school and the American Cancer Society, the joy of the day was unforgettable. As has become the norm standing room only for the Mass. We had a beautiful,
sunny warm day. The size of the crowds waiting for St. Rocco to leave the Church continues to grow.
As usual, they come from the five boroughs, New Jersey, Upstate New York, Long Island, Rhode Island and beyond!

I announce with great sadness the passage of our beloved treasurer Angela Carnevale. Please see the "Dedication" section of the site website.
